Bowhead Whales and Walrus of Foxe Basin

Join us in the Arctic Circle as we drift amongst Foxe Basin ice floes in search of enormous bowhead whales and hulking walruses. On this expedition we're based out of Igloolik, Nunavut. Igloolik is a small community on an island with centuries of living history and easily accessible archeological sites. Also while we're on land we will immerse ourselves in the culture of our Inuit hosts, understanding how the ancient ways really aren't that different from today's. If we are fortunate while advancing through the ice we may also encounter polar bears.
