  • The tempo is sooooooo slowly taking into account this is a BRAVURA aria.

  • She has vibrato, you have to listen carefully, such as at 2:32 when she sings "cedete orride porte". Singing straight-tone is a distinct characteristic of the British choral tradition. In my opinion, controlling the vibrato is helpful in achieving precision and agility, therefore its quite appropriate for the baroque genre.

  • @michelecenedese Her vibrato is just perfectly controlled, so it doesn't get in the way of the runs - which is probably why she can sing with such unbelievable agility and accuracy, and tune her trills so well. But I wouldn't call her voice totally straight either.... it's just... awesome, I guess. :)

  • unbearable version, booooring

  • Perfect. End of discussion. ;)

  • Very well explained

  • Great aria. What's it from?

  • Simply I don't understand why Emma Kirby has no vibrato at all... really weird...

  • Truly angelic!!!
