I would say that health insurance for college students is vital for both parents and students. This way the parents do not have to worry about what will happen if something happens to their son or daughter that has just left home for the first time. As for the student, this will teach them responsibility and begin to teach them that they are individuals that need to take responsibility for themselves. They may rely less on someone else to take care of them and take care of themselves.
