aside from the short battle theme this game had amazing music and is seriously underrated. sure, compared to PS2 and PS4 this game isn't of the same calibur but it still was a damn good RPG back in its day.

the music was haunting but beautiful.

I have always believed that in order for Sega to make such a huge game with four possible endings (and just in case you didn't, I did play to all four and there was a good bit of difference in how each one got there, as well as a huge amount reused for all four paths), they had to cut back somewhere, and that was battle music and Battle Graphics. That saved them tons of ROM, but really made the random battles boring to deal with. The Score in general was well done and appropriately placed.

I agree. This sounds better than PS2 IMO. I've been videogaming for years, and I know a good soundtrack when I hear one.

just the town music was good in this game. nothing else. The overworld music had an extremely BORING feel to it. Like your about to fall asleep... the dungeons were medicore at best and the battle music had to be some of the most repetitive music in JRPGs in history. Lets not go into the monster animations...... lol

an amusing observation.. the only one i can make is that this uses the same kind of cheap looking graphics n programming that they later used in a lot of GBA titles with the same birds eye angle. i dont know kind it is, but its ugly, it doesnt flow right with the color schemes they choose and it really bothers me. its like the gaming engine is too advanced for the skins. sega had a FEW good titles, they were always off in the color dept. SNES was superior in every way

you know what's funny? No offense to anyone, but the whole game had a very Israel feel to it for me. I can't explain why.
