Ok but to accuretly tell how well your detector works you need it clock a vehicle with the bel. Otherwise, your finding will be inaucurate. I don't dknow to me I want my findings to be accuret as in the field, ie cop to detector.

yes i know this and i have done may tests wit Ka and K IO using that method, it was just a quick way to show the people...

Why have your radar detector on you know its going to go off. Seems like that would be anoying what no dopplar audio.

I used to have a Vindicator K-band hand held with DSP. For one test I sat up in a parking lot about 20 feet parallel to a main road. I set my Bel Vector RD on my dash and clocked speeds of passing cars w/o setting off my Bel.

With the Vindicator it was possible to pull the trigger for just a split second. It was enough to get speed readings, but not enough to set off the Bel RD.

why dont you ask a cop what happens if he doesnt issue any tickets for a month? he will lose his job

The law does recognize the left lane as a passing lane only on a two lane highway. The problem isn't the drivers who ignore that rule as much as it is the drivers who have no professional high speed driver training out there weaving in and out of other cars like they are playing a video game. People who drive like that are the reason we are out there writing tickets, not because of the need for revenue like some of the ignorant suggest.

This truly sux... I know the laws are to 'save people' but in reality it seems the biggest reason for speed traps/tickets is REVENUE...

When you're going eastbound on I 40 and the road is straight for AS FAR AS YOU CAN SEE. As long as your vehicle is rated to travel safely at elevated speeds..WHAT IS THE PROBLEM with doing so? If we could train the folks that aren't passing to drive on the right side of the road..and only use the left lane for passing, THAT would solve traffic saftey issues

that person must be some type of cop in video and thats why i stay behide 1 car and infront of a car too but um nice try officer.

I used to have a Vindicator K-band radar gun and used to be able to pull the trigger for a split second, get a speed reading from the targeted moving car and not set off the Bel Vector radar detector I had sitting on my dash. I miss that gun.

wheeeww, thats pretty tight, honestly the only way to defend against instant on s to know the popular ares (highway/main roads for speeding) and just use the bunny technque and follow somone like 300 -400 ft. behind and hope to get the reading. They need to make a technolog or detector that can sense when a gun has been in use recentl and when its in hot mode it should alert so u can get the alert even when radar isnt being shot, i dunno how but if that happens, im getting it.
