Snowboarding in Scotland February 2009 - HD

Paul and I tried to go boarding 'on the cheap' and drove up to a great little B&B in Fort William and had a couple of days on the slopes in the remnants of the snow. Day 1 was wet wet wet at Glencoe, day 2 was superb at Cairngorm. Shot in 1080i HD on Panasonic HDC-SD5 (in a plastic bag!) and edited on Avid Media Composer 3.5

@gavins125 Most expensive was petrol to get there and accomm, think it was about £30 each per night at b&b in Fort William, we have our own gear so after that it was ski passes at about £20 a day - a real good experience but slightly bizzare if you're unlucky with the conditions! - Good luck :)

@sinetwo yeah, was interesting, haven't boarded in anything like it before - great fun and very enjoyable terrain though, would like to go again if it were closer, just as quick to get to the alps though from here!

@seanski44 So you didn't rip up your board on mud/rocks/crap? :)
I went to the gorms mid last year, it was raining on the last day :/

@sinetwo well, luckily the board is a little old and battle-scarred already! - its a 2002 model that I bought in '03, so has had a fair old pasting already! - but it only got a few scratches, nothing serious... Boarding in the rain is not a barrel of laughs as we found out at Glencoe!
