  • You're singing classical music, therefore, put those damn arms off the air!

  • Too much acting! U look like U'r too full of U'r self! Let the voice speak for itself. And I do notice by the way that many of these songs are transposed. To sing them in their original key is part of the challenge. The last note of O Sole Mio is an A natural. U'r Ombra mai fu was too staccato instead of legato: Di-ve-ge-ta-a-bi-le...Try legato:) Nice voice though.

  • HuH? the hands are too distracting...

  • And to gpoec, shouldn't teachers be able to lead by example? And if this is an example, my God, we should ship all our students to Russia, where they can be taught basic vocal techniques to sing past a G. Can you see the near future, where all UP voice graduates are singing with their arms waving in the air, in an attempt to distract the audience from noticing shoddy voices? GOOD GOD!

  • HE WAS NEVER ON BROADWAY! If he was, prove it!

Poor man -- born with a beautiful quality voice, but the range is not quite baritone, and never quite tenor. No amount of lessons (or arm choreography) could stretch that range. And now, the breathing is gone, too. Sad. Sad. Sad.

  • A second reply. I don't under stand where you're coming from? Dr. Acoymo has proven his scholastic exceptionalism. As a scholar and educator,he has accomplished greatly. He has a very good voice, but he has more to learn about vocal technique, style, presentation, and possibily, humility. It's never to late to learn. I wish both him and you all the very best.

  • Dear auctions4lito,

In reply, I give the good Dr. credit for his accomplisments. He has done very well, much better than I. However, he still has a way to go to be a singer of even second rank. The classic style of singing requires that emotion is accomplished with voice and facial expression, at the command of the mind.. The body does not engage in an inappropriate dance. Not so with opera and musical comedy. He is good, but compared to what? Smooth legatto? Dramatic depth? Not yet!

  • PhD Degree..two masters degree..he finished a 2 year degree in cincinnati in one year..cum laude pre med and youngest Madrigal singer at 17. I guess he was pretty busy.

  • Actually you're right that the last song (O Sole Mio) sounds like Elvis Prestley's It's now or never, because that's were Elvis based his melody on. ;)

  • A Dr's. Degree does not a good singer make! However, I give him A+ fpr getting as far as he has on what he's got.

I disagree that songs can only be sung in original keys. There are high, medium high, and low editions of most Art Songs. Opera,, imo, is another matter, although I've heard that certain operatic tenors and sopranos will sometimes chose to sing down a key, if the're having a bad vocal day.

He's got a nice voice, and if his ego will permit, could become a concert singer.

  • parang masyadong matigas yung boses nya
