It been like this for a week now with no sign of the rain ending. The whole of Isaan (north east Thailand) is suffering pretty bad. Ubon is up pretty mountainous so not usually effected as bad as the resty of Isaan, but this year so much water has fallen from the sky in the last two months even we're flooded.
The video shows the bits of town near the raised main road, the only dry bit. A shanty town has appeared along this road and the outskirts of town has several tent villages. The whole southern bank and wall of Mun River (pronounced 'moon' river, Thailand's second longest) has been submerged and the river has swamped the town which is located in fenlands anyway, so dissected by small lakes and rivers, all of which have merged into the mun.

Respond to this video... P. S> the water's up at least 2 metres since I shot this vid. Some of the houses around 1:40 are completely under water now.

@vintageFIREWORKS Not yet, the field is pretty high up. Meung Ubon's on hill. But a lot of the lower part of town are flooded though.

@Killasklan Water's gone up since I filmed it and the tent villages are ten times the size now, I must try and make another film.
