@AmericanCritiquer even if you don't want to franchise, the most important thing is to set it up like a franchise, which means you create a foolproof operations manual. It can be anything from "You clock in at this time, then you do this.." "This is your work attire" "Heres the script you use when speaking to customers." Even if it's a 1 or 2 person business, just having an operations manual (that you stick to) will make a big difference.

I'm sort of on the entrepreneur and manager side but my dad's business, him being more of a technician, is definitely still in the adolescence stage. I want to set up a business that will scale up to the masses so if it's the brick and mortar type (not internet or manufactured) and it can't be franchised, why bother?
