I see that you have two logs on the go at all times. They only look like they are 12" long though. I can see one doing that with a 24" stroke, but correct me if I am wrong, but if I am splitting 18" long logs I would need a model with a 36" stroke am I correct?

@timberfeller6 someone on YT said built-rite is "built-wrong"....lotsa problems...underpowered. While there are features on it that look good, they seem to be very low on splitting force.

I'd hate to wrestle splits all day constantly being underfoot. My Built-rite puts them out the back and will self-build it's own pile pushing the entire pile out and up as far as you can see. It will feed a conveyor or trough easily. Lots of people still trying to build a better mousetrap. As long as you're enjoying what you are doing, I say go for it. If the machine deafens everyone in the area and the use of it becomes drudgery, then do it different. Get out there and enjoy your life!
