  • Thanks for the comments. You're right about the compression on YouTube. It obliterates the detail in all but over-sharpened images, so in a work-in-progress image like this, it doesn't do it justice. In the finished hi-res image every pore and little hair is intact, but I always work WITHOUT input sharpening and then do output sharpening at the end of the workflow. I agree it looks plastic here. Might remove it. Might also consider Vimeo as an option – cheers!

  • Could you PLEASE do a skin softening tutorial. I have watched so many but not many give me the desired effect I am looking for. Especially when the person I am working on has very rough, gravely looking skin. Cheers!
