Dear Vanessa, do us all a favor and never sing another note in your life again.. You completely destroyed that classic, had no emotion and so dry! Barbara sounding astounding as always she amazes me always.
-
Barbara literally sounds the same as she did 20 or 30 years ago. Thats amazing in its itself.
And Vanessa is also constantly underestimated.
This performance was actually flawless. Amazing.

Perfect... words fail me !!!
-
Vanessa is gorgeous!
-
Vanessa is so UNDER estimated....Just beautiful the way she sang this! Barbara is great too!

Vanessa gets more beautiful as the years pass and grows as an artist who was exceptional to begin with. Barbara is a world-class model of intelligence, artistic honesty and a living embodiment of high standards while remaining, always, a warm and totally grounded lady.
Bless them both!

@mjmacmtenor wow amazing, she should do more broadway, i think she should originate a role

@sweeney60 She started out as more of a Broadway singer. There was even a Boston Pops broadcast where she sang Carmen (in Hammerstein's English Carmen Jones version).
Barbara Cook is a natural treasure; not only could she sing beautifully into her 80's, but she also could make the songs speak and tell a story. My favorite memory of her is when I saw her alone in the lobby after a concert and asked her to sign my CD of her Carnegie Hall concert, telling her that it was my fav since it's the only document of her singing the complete "My White Knight," and she proceeded to sing the song just for me, standing two feel away from me. GREAT lady and GREAT artist.
