DLR reminds me of a carnival barker at the fun house. I`ll take Sammy Hagar over him in a heartbeat. Sammy has real long lasting talent. A great rock singer, showman and fine guitar player. DLR belongs under a circus tent herding elephants in a circle.

The problem with Sammy, from the start; he sounds like everybody else. Coverdale, Plant and everyone else with a high register can pretty much replace Sammy, that ain't the case when talking about Roth. Beefy, robust voice !! I'm jealous, really !!! Still, after all these years. Back in the day, they probably should have replaced Dave with a Rob Halford(straight!)/Bruce Dickinson, ballsy type singer. Cherone, definitely a "brain fart" moment.

Sammy doesn't need to say a word DLR does all the talking neccessary to show who the best front man for VH was and ever will be, Sammy U da man , Class ,Feeling , Energy and vocal talent In my books its Sammy hands down. DLR looks like a washed up side show Bob ... please retire already. You had some great years but they are way behind you man.
