No alot of mares do this when they are in deep season, hormones get to them when they are not "served" so they find other ways to make themselves feel "accomplished"

This is an act of dominance.... Wild horses do this to show agression towards younger mares.

Oh my gosh, homosexuality is AGAINST THE LAWS OF NATURE. that horse must be a damn liberal. Her parents did something wrong in raising her. She shouldn't be allowed to marry other gay horses.

My pony did this too! Except she was that accomplished because she was 13 hands and trying to mount a 16h warmblood mare haha! She only did this a couple of times and never again :/ Weird!

I own this mare for 3 years now. This she just did for one day only. Never before or since. I assume her hormones just went a bit crazy that day.
