A good example of students who have a lot of negative information in their minds but can't handle the responsibility in constructively displaying their displeasure to it. They have a long way to go to become responsible adults and citizens. That was just HOOLIGAN behavior, plain and simple. What a great example of We Are.....! True and I think what the riots show is that if MEDIA STICKS ITS NOSE IN THE MIDDLE OF AN EMOTIONS BASED SITUATION it will get a reaction. Technically why did media HAVE TO be there a day in advance. It got through the grapevine plenty fast thanks to ONLINE!

I remember as a NU fan being SHOCKED (doesn't really do it justice) that he was on campus. I will give that since I saw sincerely good intentions) that alot of what I think rioting probably was was students in deeeeeeep denial about how bad things were.

What you don't seem to get by saying that is that there is no chance that these kids were simply in denial about what happened. I can relate to their seeing JP as a respected guy as I thought he was till a week before this happened. There shock had to have been so high. :( I mean seriously do you really think they thought that he was invincible. I doubt it. I might say this to that end but I don't really believe them. I don't believe they were rioting in support of a "football game" but a frend.
