Lance in a RARE 1AR, Freshman Year

The one and only tournament I debated with a debater 3 years ahead of me and one of the best in the nation. I can tell you it was also probably my most insecure and nervous tournaments ever...but after knocking out the reigning national champs in octos and getting to the final round, it was pretty fun. Somewhere out there are the tapes of finals..

This is a 1AR...the speech where I have 5 minutes to cover and defeat all of the arguments of the Negative block which is 15 minutes long. Thus not persuasive but fast. I am definitely aggressive...probably a result of the pressure I was under. I believe this was our double octo final elimination round thus we won.
