Try Ubuntu Studio, for tonnes of media production stuff, with a real-time kernel. And Ardour is way better than Garage Band

First thing me to, but I think its their job to do that, so they do it for money? I don't know about you but if i was paid for running ubuntu and making it look cool i would probably do it more often

What's your point? Dude I'm running Linux Ubuntu 9.04 I love it trust me its great that they have such a supportive community but that doesn't change the fact that OS X has capable of a lot more than Ubuntu.

the only bad part about linux for me is that, roadrunner my ISP doesnt support it for internet connection.

it seems strange. Have you tried UBUDSL?
Anyway all protocol I know are supported in Linux PPPOA, PPPOE, PPP,..

I already tried OS X on PC and on MAC, I like the GUI, but I hate Apple's policy... a gold jail is not for me
