Glenn Close has taken a bold step forward in the destigmatism of mental illness. God Bless her and her sister for making such a beautiful and courageous PSA...Catalysts for Change begin with People willing to Speak Up and Be the Change. We need more stars like Glenn Close who can make the difference through media outlets.....

Could someone please explain to me Glen Close's radio ad where she talks about diabetes and cancer as if they are mental illnesses? I don't understand it.

Alright, fair enough. Thank you for being reasonable about it; your first comment just sounded a little abrasive!
Thanks for the kind words. I'm trying my best to get better and taking each day as it comes.

Well, I'm not going to tell you how to live your life, but for me there was hope outside of medication. Just wanted to be the other voice of the argument.
I wish you all the best and a hopeful future, don't ever lose hope.

The fact that you had depression for 10 years says differently. Besides, if you're like me and you have crippling depression that makes it so you can't even get out of bed in the morning or focus on work, medicine is the only option. Stop trying to force your situation on other people.

This video reminds me how important it is for me to always be there to support those I love who have mental illness. Thank you.
