Ron Paul is Bill Maher's New Hero

Well, I'm glad we could agree on that much! :D I'm not a fan of guns and I think the number of gun-related deaths in the US speaks for itself. We don't need guns other than in the hands of the police. At least that's what I think.

I agree with the first four or rather the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th points because the death penalty has already been abolished in my country. But why take away the right to bear arms which is a given? Legitimate criminals will not turn in or register their firearms. They didn't here in the True North Strong and Free. Not in Vancouver and not in Toronto. Self-protection should not be considered a crime. If a foreign power invaded your country. Wouldn't you want to resist? Guns are our mates.

What happened to the Republican Party?? Easy, they decided flag waving, religious fundamentalism of the Jesus kind, fear mongering, war waging and profiteering, corporate bailouts, and the like were what was going to be good for their party and the country. And they selected John McCain and Sarah Palin as their leaders. How's that workin for ya Republicans??

Problem is Maher is only agreeing with Ron Paul on foreign Policy. What about locally - people poor don't have rights to money of the wealthy. NO right to health care, education, etc!

jstartwo: people should not have rights to the money earned by others. all people have access to health care and education - healthcare and education are accessible to all, one has to work for it. i grew up without anything, but worked my way up. i never expected the wealthy to pay for me. i said i will make it on my own. if you can't make it in the U.S.A., then you are pretty much a complete failure.
