Actually, if you want to get technical, there were a couple of receipts from fueling stations where he had stopped to purchase gas found inside the car when he was arrested and the vehicle was recovered.

maybe if you wouldnt generalize the whole community as there parents buying them cars it isnt always the case, i was given 1 car from 1982 mercury cougar i was told if i didnt want to drive it get a job and buy my own, so i bought my probe for a thousand bucks, put some work into it (alot) then i finnaly saved enouhg dough after about a year and bought my car, 100% by myself.
