  • A price of only 309k? I'm not sure if I'd refer to these as mansions, "mc" or otherwise.

  • @ldylkr I brought cars into the topic to illustrate what wasting money is and that homes generally aren't wasted money (unless you bought at the top of this huge bubble!).Sure, there are many who don't like big homes, but there are more than you realize who are envious, but human nature being what it is makes people especially reluctant to admit to being envious,I don't know why that is since we will readily accept being called angry, vengeful, loving, compassionate, but few will admit to envy.

  • @dgl1962 Sorry-had to post to this one-the other didn't show. I didn't know we were bringing cars into the mix. lol I understand and see your point, I just don't think the majority feels envy. I have more than most and have friends with less. They don't appear to be envious. (Thank you for answering me).

  • @ldylkr "Blowing money on nothing"?

Execept for the anomaly of housing price reductions the last couple years due the the FED induced bubble, homes go up in value, whether they are large homes (that are derisively called McMansions,or more affordable ones).

Buying fancy cars is blowing money, since you lose abot 30% the first year.

  • @dgl1962 Sorry-no envy that I have seen. Unless they are just crazy enough to blow money on nothing, I've never seen anyone be envious of these things.

  • @ldylkr I have heard that allusion about these homes for years,"they are cheaply built"...

Not so,all homes in every county (especially south FL w/hurricanes) must meet current construction codes.

Speed of construction just shows efficiencies in the builders skills and orchestration of workers when needed.

Believe me,there's plenty of envy regarding these homes.

  • @dgl1962 They're called McMansions because of how quickly they are built and how they seem to be everywhere like a chain. It's like fast food for houses. Believe me-there is nothing to be envious about.

  • It's funny to see those that would love to own a large, beautiful home like these, but cannot afford to refer to them as "McMansions".

    Pure envy.

It's true,we learn all that we need to know about people in kindergarten.

  • Hey you filmed on my street, lol... although technically the "McMansions" you show here are in an area of all custom homes... a better example would have been the big spec homes a little further west.

  • Its the schools thats the reason I moved to the south side of Katy now what is funny I start home schooling my son in the spring although I still have a daughter in public school for now
