Actually the album was finished when Eugene killed himself. However, they did not piece it together yet. This is why the inside cover of the album says it is dedicated to him.

The album was finished by May 2007 and Eugene died on August 13, 2009. However, the album was released on October 19, 2007 (in South Africa) which gave the label time to edit the album a little...
