This is fake/fan made.
I felt for the first time ever that I actually needed to add this tiny section to the description because I've been consistently flabbergasted by the sheer stupidity of many, many commentators on YouTube. Apparently a lot of people, upon seeing something like this assume that I'm an asshole devil who wants to 'trick' them into watching a fake trailer and thus BREAK THEIR HEARTS AND EAT THEIR FUCKING SOULS. I'm not. This is an exercise in creativity. I'm using my skill to learn how to edit trailers that are believable, in this case using footage from other movies, to give a particular effect (a story resembling "Silent Hill 2").
This isn't an attempt to trick you into anything. So please, guys, stop being fucking retards.

By god! I'm finally finished. No one should take this long to make a 2-minute video, ever.
Anyway, this is -as the title would suggest- a (fake) trailer for a "Silent Hill 2" movie. Not necessarily a sequel to the original (which I love), but an adaptation of the videogame itself (which is probably one of my favorite games of all time).
Fans of the game might notice a couple of details that I added to make it closer to the game itself (like how it begins with James/John in the bathroom, or the tv screen/static, etc), and I really liked how I manipulated some of the stuff to suggest plotlines from the game (like the wife doppelganger). I only wish it looked more horror-ish; it kinda looks like a violent drama, but oh well.
This was the "Apocalypse Now" of video editing; Premiere crashed a hundred times, I had to re-do the audio, some movies just wouldn't work, I couldn't find the appropriate music (this was the biggest setback, in the end I just went: 'eh, fuck it), blah blah. That's why it took me months. I was actually this close to giving up on it altogether but in the end chose not to because I really liked some of the stuff I had done, like the maps or that one shot of the car driving past a "Silent Hill" sign.
"WHAR IS PYRAMID HEAD!!???"
Fuck you.
I want to thank YouTube user systmh for letting me use his pimping After Effects video of the "Silent Hill Hallway" (which I used for the nightmare titles) -that stuff is good. And no, I didn't use "Jacob's Ladder"; my DVD copy has terrible, terrible quality and a rip would look like shit, same for "Boo!".
Movies used: "The Mothman Prophecies", "Hellraiser: Inferno", "The Mist", "The Fog", "The Crazies", "Session 9", "House on Haunted Hill", "Pandorum", "Asylum" video by Disturbed, "Papercut" video by Linkin Park, "Lost", "Supernatural".
Music used:
-Akira Yamaoka: "Welcome" (Silent Hill 2 Perfect Sessions).
-Akira Yamaoka: "Forest" (Silent Hill 2 OST).
-Two Steps From Hell: "Undead Chamber" (Shadows And Nightmares Disc 2)
-Brand X music: "Rat Nest" (Volume 4).
-Akira Yamaoka: "Promise" (Silent Hill 2 OST).
Enjoy. Please rate and comment.
i always felt like mothman was a total rip off of silent hill 2, glad to see someone mix the two

@WhereWeComeFrom I remember thinking they were weirdly similar when I first heard of Mothman (a movie I love) but that movie is actually based on a book.
