Just a pointer, not trying to be mean...you need to work on the 'Ums' and 'Uhs'.

some people never listen to music and some do. i think it is a personal choice. I sometimes like to run without my iPod and just get wrapped up in my thoughts. Sometimes though, i find it boring without it. It is a personal preference!
I used my iPod during my last marathon :)

Sup Kev,
Nice advice also an important one when buying shoes is not to think how great they feel when you try them on but also to ask how much they dent inwards after some usage. You need good support from your shoe and although running shoes are made for it, I do have some bad experience with some Adidas and Nikes from a few years back.
If you feel you need that bit of extra cupping support get some: Spenco Performance Gel Insole. Or any sole that can keep your feet cool and stable.

Good advice, marathons seem pretty intimidating. But you have it down to a science lol.
You gave some good advice. I would like to add that its important to try for yourself what you can eat while running. Bananas work for most of he ppl but the power gels are tricky. On one of the long runs befor its easy to try out different gels or bananas etc. even the shirt and the shorts you gone wear should be tested...
I have seen a lot of guys taping their nipples.
There is even more one can try out befor....

good cal. Try all the gear you'll use on race day before hand on a long run! Good point about the gels to. Better to experiment with them beforehand.
I tape my nipples like many guys do.....damn they hurt if you don't...it's actually quite unbearable pain when they get chafed!

Personally, I like to eat a lot of Ho Hos before I run. Just kidding, I don't run, I just like to eat Ho Hos.
I did ride my bike a TON in college and asked my BioChem prof what a good portable food to eat for energy and what not would be. He answered 'Peanuts'. So there ya go.
Good luck on the run, I can't wait to see the vid afterward and hear how it went.

I have never had a Ho Ho. We don't have those in Canada.
Peanut M&M's are pretty wonderful things though. i like some of those before a run :)
