I would have just picked him up. It's dangerous for him (cars could merge back into him not being able to see him for the bus) and it's just one person and he's near the bus stop at least. This bus driver is a stupid public servant, who knows he gets paid to jack off no matter what, so therefore content with wasting everyone else's time!
