My father was plowing snow on Rt. 35 in Bay Head and Mantoloking the day this hit. He had to abandon the job when the ocean started washing over the highway. The next time this happened to this degree would be Dec. 11, 1992, a day (along with Ash Wednesday '62) that will live in infamy along the NJ coast.
