@Stinkko This is what I thnk. I think Osteen has one gift & that`s encouragement & he does it well. Ppl can benefit from him IF they read & study their Bibles on their own. A nonChristian will not get the full Gospel from Joel but if he encourages them & they read their Bible they can find Christ. He`s not unlike other 1 topic pastors some just talk about salvation, others end of days, service, sin, Hebrew origins, just the NT, demons/deliverance, or every day topics, etc.
