O Holy Night (Arr. Mark Hayes & Warren Gilmore)

This is the Southwestern IL College Concert Choir performing a Gospel rendition of 'O Holy Night'. The latter half of the song, I composed myself. This video is extra special to me because this past Spring, we lost a phenomenal guitarist/educator, Bob Borgestede, and he is featured as lead guitarist in this video. I hope you enjoy...

I think this was a great performance.. I have been to many school christmas concerts and this type of improv is usually not the norm but it allows young people to be part of the creative process..express themselves as individuals and who doesn't truly see how beautiful gospel is.. music that is expressed closest to and from your heart... Great job.. you have wonderful instructors/teachers who allowed the students to be so important in the process of creating beatiful music.Too chay..
