    Are you altering the tuning in Workbench or are you physically retuning the strings?

    No, I just manually tuned to open G.

    Sounds and feels great with that extra tension on the 6th string ( from tuning up a tone and a half).

    I know a lot of people like to emulate Keith Richards and do away with the 6th string ( which would normally be tuned to D) or try and damp the D (6th) string, but I think Davey Johnstone's extra G on the 6th works really well. ( Really adds some extra punch to Rolling Stones riffs)
