In this four-part series, string theory pioneer Michio Kaku goes on an extraordinary exploration of the world in search of time.
He discovers our sense of time passing and the clocks that drive our bodies. He reveals the forces of time that make and destroy us in a lifetime. He journeys to some of the Earth's most spectacular geological sites to look for clues to the extraordinary depths of time at a planetary level. Finally, he takes us on a cosmic journey in search of the beginning (and the end) of time itself.

Part 4: Cosmic Time
We've always structured our lives based on an unchanging past and a predictable and ordered future. But atomic and cosmic discoveries have changed all that. What is time itself? And will it ever end?

  • By implementing a monochromatic light source or particle emission, along with the light propogation being metered to just billionth of a second exposure.

A60 watt bulb emitts 100,000,000,000,000,000,000 photons per second. turn it on for short enough a time? WALLA! ONE little photon slid on by..

Monochromatic means i.e. of one definate frequency or wavelength and makes it easier to detect for the sensors or photocell equipment.

That was for b29349's Question. your welcome

  • @tlazur cool. how does the tester know they have one photon when running the double slit? corkscrewed like a bullet in a rifled barrel.

  • Interesting. I just wish shows like this got to the point and didn't milk the shit of every bit of info. It's fairly dumbed down too and doesn't go into enough detail on many matters.

  • Delete this video man it is geeting copy right!

  • it implies that photons move in spirals

  • good work dosent always require written appraisel ...so dont worry keep on uploadin more vids...nd thnx for this one.

  • Oh, 9,515 views and no other comments!? STRANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Interesting. Welcome to fascist AMERICA! I have no idea of whom I am writing to, but now I cannot rule out that whoever you are you must be idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everlasting contempt, yeah. Youall have no idea.

  • I am having a most unpleasant viewing experience. You tube, now the property of "Google" has become a valve. Designed to limit our access to knowledge. Google is now the whore of the fascists who are controlled by the hyper rich! Me and my mom own our own house and grow our own food. It will be interesting for us to see how this all turns out.
