  • hey if you want a sneak preview of a song not yet heard until today, Radio 2 Dermot O'Leary played "Set fire to the Rain" you can hear it by going to the radio 2 website for Saturday 15.1.11 and he plays it at 2.27.30..It's the best song I've ever heard by her.

  • She looks so effortless when she sings, amazing.

  • flawless.

and has anyone noticed that this song has a strange meter? it seems like a very difficult song to perform, and of course adele pulls it off perfectly.

  • She is one of the very few singers that sound just as good live as they do on the cd. She has an amazing voice

  • First I liked Adele, then I liked the bass line on this song. Only now have I realized that she wrote and plays the bass line herself. Sooooooooooo much respect for this lady.

  • @mcroyaltie that's exactly what i thought it meant which is why is applied to me in so many different ways since i've dealt with the exact thing no too long ago. thanks so much!!

  • @kerryramoutar I think it is essentially about unrequited love; this guy isn't reciprocating her feelings. In her perfect fantasy world, one day he'll proclaim that he has the same feelings for her and say "I'm the one for you". I think, however, that when the beat picks up at the chorus, that is in fact the reality of the situation; what he would say if given the chance, and deep down, she knows exactly what's going on - she's being used. But she lets it continue because she's too far in love.

  • @kerryramoutar Although I fell in love with the song immediately after hearing it, I too was a bit confuzzled about the meaning. It's a pretty sad song, the tone sort of throws you off...
