Mary Elizabeth McGlynn has been singing the themes for the Silent Hill franchise since Silent Hill 3. That's nearly 9 years of dedicated work to the series. Yamaoka Akira's talent in the ambient genre combined with Mary's angelic voice is what sets the mysterious atmosphere over the game; like the fog that constantly blankets Silent Hill. Akira's music is simply the fog while Mary's voice is the candle enshrouded in it. You never know what the light will attract in the darkness...

This song brings out ...everything in my depression, anger, etc. Like most people, the lyrics are so haunting, it brings me to tears and I just see...darkness. The 'odd' thing is... I love it.
