You get a thumbs up simply for having an instructional video with commentary, and not some random crap like Nickelback blaring in the background, like every other video on YouTube!

I was using Norton ghost to backup and restore Windows_XP from my HDD to a 8.5Gb DVD; worked flawlessly. Recently I installed a 64Gb Compact Flash card in my desktop and tried restoring XP using Ghost; it will not work. I then tried this procedure using WinRAR and it worked. I'm now running XP off a CF-Card; there's no mechanical HDD.

my pc splited into 2 disks c & d i want buck up just c becaus d hase important files
( i have a buck up file called hp5700.GHO i dont know what is inside it )
It depends on the size of the file you mentioned: if it is less than a GB it's probably a backup of a recovery partition, otherwise could be a fresh installed windows that came with your hp computer.

How do you restore the disk? my computer had a virus on it and i want to wipe all data. how do i do this?

If your data was erased by the virus, you cannot restore the data, Otherwise you may want to backup data and fresh install windows by either booting in safe mode by repeatedly pressing F8 at startup and choosing the appropriate option and copying data to an external hard drive; Or you may consider to move your hard drive to another computer to backup data or partition the disk to fresh install over a new partition.

The TTS I've used is better than Microsoft Sam, but still sounds robotic a little
