damn. the images of rap videos juxtaposed against white people break dancing and doing hip-hop is also inappropriate. not to mention inacurate and irrelevent.

hip-hop started as a multi-cultural street preformance thing in new york and people of all races participated and were accpted as valid participants. not to mention that it was debbie harry- a white blond blue eyed woman- who got hip-hop mainstream recognition. i dont know why brothers think hip-hop is "their's".

hey. yes hip hop is multicultural. but we need to question how culture is commodified and sold by the mainstream media. the point is not to say that these "white people" (actually black men dressed as white women) are bad, it's to make fun of how culture has been appropriated by the corporate media and understand that representation does not always equal power, and by taking on cultures we are engaged in political discourse.

This is a truly excellent video! It really drives home the point that white wannabes playing NDN are just racists playing at redface using real people as their spiritual mascots. This is extremely educational on an emotional level. Chii Miigwetch for making this!

Alot of this makes sense, especially whites in 'black face paint' or whites parading around in Indian costumes in front of the nation, BUT---look at it from all sides, not just 'people of colors' vs. whites, ok?

There is racism on ALLLL sides. There are plenty of mixed blood whites, who are called wannabees. Whites are forbidden to use the 'n' word, YET it is said over and over by black people--to each other, in rap, in every day life, but that's OK???
