my new 7" long BP motors test, and my first ever 3" round shell! So excited!
I made the shell, thinking in my head what i wanted it to look like, not thinking it would turn out at all like my plans, but to my shock it did! haha
I think i was just lucky the way the shell broke, to properly show the half and half effect i was looking for! and the ring looked pretty good as well! my normal Custom TT/Ti! (they always seem to make an apperance! :P)

Rocket dimensions:
ID= 3/4"
LONG= 7"
3/4" end plug and 1" nozzle
5" core (through 1" nozzle and 4" into 60/30/10 fuel)

Shell specs:
3" Paper round shell (Concealed with 2 payers of Paper tape)
Red, green and TT/Ti stars arranged to give break (half hemi filled with red, half with green, and TT/Ti along the outer edge of the inside of the Green hemi side)
Break= BP on grass seed
Booster= 1g 70/30 FP
Weight= 155g

Enjoy!

  • should I bind those stars with acetone because of parlon? or can i stick with the 25% isaprpal

  • @gothbro111

    just use Acetone

  • k that was freking amazing color!!! what ratio are you putting the TI into the TT?? also i must have the comps for the red and green, care to share? :D what do u use as break charge, and prime? ok NO MORE questions i just want my shells to look like that lol

  • @gothbro111

    cheers mate,

    1) 12% Ti added to the final weight of the TT

    2) 53% barium nitrate, 19% magnalium,17% parlon and 11% red gum (change oxidiser to Strontium Nitrate for Red)

    3) For my 3" shells i use 10g MCRH and 1g 70/30 flash for booster

    4) prime for the stars- 71% pot perc,14% airfloat willow charcoal, 9% red gum and 6% magnalium (bind with 100% acetone)

    hope this helps mate!

  • @murdoch2486 Hey buddy!

    Like I said, this rocket is amazing. I'm outa words to describe this thing ;)

    Can you please send me the exact details of your rocket (tool, fuel, size), etc? Because I have a tool as well, but the rockets don't really fly.

    Greetings,

    Bionade73
