  • @safetrailhorse They are being used as added pressure when needed. They are not making the horses do anything they dont want to do. I understand that bitless bridles are more "humane" and spurs are apparently

"cruel" these days to some, but they really aren't.They are tools. They are not meant to be used as a source of fear. bits are used for control. They are not inhumane or even bad. Next time, don't shout your opinion on Youtube. EVeryone believe something different. you cant change everyone

  • @safetrailhorse if you do it correctly, horses are not afraid of these training tools. Most people take the time to desensitise their horses to these things. Bits do not cause pain when used the correct way and with proper hands. Granted, some people do not use them the right way, but the people in this video are knowledgeable enough to know how to use it. If you notice, they are not using direct contact with the chanked bits. They are also not spurring the snot out of these horses.(look down.)

  • @Diabetessurvivor the lady in "granny with a trail horse" is riding with Dr. Cook's Bitless bridle and without spurs. I know because I am granny. I ride with a trail saddle and without bit or spurs and have for over 20 years, so I know horses can be trained without those fear factors. It takes more time and patience but is well worth it. Check out Dr. Cook's website and learn more about riding bitless!

  • @safetrailhorse the lady in "granny with a trail horse" also has a bit. In case you didn't know. She is riding a form of English. western and english are very different. Because of the steering, you need to have a shanked bit for western. and it is very hard to ride bridleless at all. and some horses cannot be ridden bitless or in a halter. It depends on the horse. Know all your facts before you judge others. So in other words, dont judge people online.

  • @safetrailhorse

REALLY???? This is a group of people that are absolutely amazing...sometimes people shouldn't open their mouths because they really don't know what they're talking about. Just because YOU have a view on a subject doesn't make EVERY other person who does it differently wrong. KNOCK IT OFF!

  • Great obstacles. Now take away the spurs and the bits and teach your horse to perform without them. To be inspired watch "granny with a trail horse" here on You tube.
