On October 4, 1943, Bing Crosby recorded "I'll Be Home for Christmas" It touched a tender place in the hearts of Americans, both soldiers and civilians, who were then in the depths of World II , and it earned Crosby his fifth gold record. "I'll Be Home for Christmas" became the most requested song at Christmas USO shows in both Europe and the Pacific and Yank, the GI magazine, said Crosby accomplished more for military morale than anyone else of that era.

wow...thanks it was a joy..i want to hug everyone that wants a hug from this Italian mama with spagetti sauce in one hand and Christmas gifts in a jar in the other..hah hhah. (you can see it in one of the video shots..).its what i gave for Christmas in these lean times..It was very fun to do..and people can make it themselves when they are ready for a treat.
