Whalesharks can bee seen underwater in Southern Leyte at certain times of the year. It is only allowed to snorkel with the whalesharks as scuba diving would disturb them, therefore snorkeling gives the animals more space to choose its own way underwater. It's a fantastic way to observe these gentle giants and a dream come true for most divers. The whaleshark is also featured in our latest underwater DVD, the living ocean.

  • I checked out some of your videos and they are excellent, it's a shame there are so many asses who put videos on youtube as screenshots with annoying songs and misleading titles. I am thankful to have searched whale shark and to have seen whale sharks. Subscribed and keep doing what you're doing =)

  • @nchidoub Thanks for your nice comment, you are right there are too many people putting screen shots and titles up which has nothing to do with the content, just to increase their views. On my site you get what you see in the title and screen shots. The best whale shark video I have is my last video, have a look:

Whale Sharks in Oslob Cebu Philippines with GMA 7 and Kiko Rustia

  • Cant wait doing a live aboard dive trip out there hopefully in time to see one of these beauty's sadly its not till jan of 2013 so assuming the world doesnt end in 2012 i might get to see one of these in person :-D

  • @couragedadog lolz

  • ...and no - do not attempt to ride on the whale sharks back...please

  • beautiful !

  • Can they give you a ride on their back? I heard they are very docile? Please respond

  • @klemensgann Just come back from the Philippines 1 week ago. Saw 2 whale sharks on 2 dives in a dive site known as Manta Bowl, not far from Donsol, just off an island called Ticao. 'Peak Season' for whale sharks out there is typically Jan - March. Good luck!
