  • The quality of sound is not good enough, sometimes it's hard to understand, to hear the words correctly. But thanks anyway.

  • @MidoriCrayon Good question! 的 in Chinese indeed means to belong to someone, for example 我的书,my book and it is also used after adjective like 很好的人. You should say 你是很好的人。The sentence structure is Suject(你) + 是 + Object(很好的人). Hope you understand. Any question, feel free to let me know.

  • @MidoriCrayon If you don't use "的," people won't think it's rude. :)

If you don't add "的," sometimes people can understand, but they may feel very strange to say like that way.

  • @MidoriCrayon A very good question!

When “的 (de)” puts after the attributive, it used to modify the noun or talk about the possessions. For example:

很好的老师 (hěnhǎo de lǎoshī) a very nice teacher.

The phrase “很好 (hěnhǎo)” before the word “的 (de)” is used to modify the noun “老师 (lǎoshī).”

我的老师 (wǒ de lǎoshī) my teacher.

“我 (wǒ)” before “的 (de)” used to talk about the possessions “my teacher.”

Please feel free to let me know if you still have any questions. :)

  • @MidoriCrayon 谢谢你。The sentence you mentioned should be: 你是很好的老师。 Just for your reference. Hope you learn more.
