Canadian life in a Northern Town featuring the paintings of Canadian artist Terry Ananny
Terry Ananny's artwork is represented by many fine art galleries across Canada. The artist has participated in numerous exhibitions and has collected a number of awards. Her works are held in over 250 Canadian and International corporate collections including Global Television, Merrill Lynch, Delta Hotels, Microsoft Canada, CTV Television, Corus Entertainment, Ensource, Sun Microsystems, and the Ottawa Senators. Terry Anannys work has been influenced by a number of fine artists. Without doubt, the works of Henri Masson and Marc A. Fortin have had a strong influence in her work. The Group of Seven and Clarence Gagnon were also inspiring influences. Terry Ananny is honored to have one of her paintings hanging in the collection of the late Elizabeth Harris, wife of Canadian Artist Lawren Harris Jr. (son of Lawren Harris - Group of Seven). Her work is seen on UNICEF cards, Canada Save the Children cards, Canadian Greetings cards, Cornerstone 52 Foundation cards, Childrens Wish Foundation cards, Canadian Cystic Fibrosis cards, book covers, CD covers and has been submitted for a Canadian postage stamp and Canadian coin. UNICEF has published ten unique Christmas cards over the past decade featuring the paintings of Terry Ananny. In 2010 her work was chosen to be presented as a gift to the 100 participants of the Canadian Seniors Curling Championships.
Canadas Prime Ministers, Governor Generals and the Government of Canada have all collected her work. During this period Anannys artwork has represented Canada in the form of gifts to visiting dignitaries. Terry Anannys artwork may be found in Canadian Government collections including Industry Canada, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, The Canadian Embassy in Brussels, Belgium, Ottawa Hospital, The Canadian Medical Association, The Premier of Quebec, Mr. and Mrs. Jean Charest, Former Prime Minister Mr. and Mrs. Jean Chretien, Former Prime Minister Mr. and Mrs. Brian Mulroney.
