welcome to the no gas club...i love my 4.7 but i cant afford it anymore. 12mpg city is not ok in 2012.

i have the 4.7 v8 dodge dakota 2002 and i get bout 8 to 12 mpg with 20s n 3.55 gears its fast but shitty gas mileage

@AmericanMuscleV8 - When I bought mine the original owner went 90K miles on the original plugs. I swapped them out for the fancy double-tipped platinum things and my mileage actually went down about 2mpg.

What kind of mileage does these trucks get?
I want to get one but people say that you will only get 12 mpg highway and 8 city?
Is this correct?
I really want one of these but not if the mpg is that shitty.

@HEFNERLCC My old man averages 20-22 in the city and 26-27 on the highway so where ever your getting this info it is false, well actually that might be the other gear ratio offered. His truck has the ratio for better acceleration. So what ever you do just get the right ratio.
