Alot of Ron Paul haters try and argue that he
is a extremist but it has been proven by his history that he has always supported the constitution by the way he votes. So are they
arguying that to be a constitutionalist is in
some way extreme? Then why has all the previous presidents and future presidents swear to uphold the constitution? Are they lying? or have they been lying for along time now? It looks like it!!

It should be obvious after his remarks about state-sanctioned prayer: Ron Paul is not a libertarian. He is a states-rights Anti-Federalist.

"Reagan would be considered a big bad "evil Neocon" by Ron Paul and his supporters"
Not quite. We wouldn't agree with his interventionism, but Reagan himself said that the United States should "never be an aggressor in a war" as was against militarily occupying the Middle East or spread freedom and democracy through the barrell of a gun. Be it in Vietnam or Iraq.

I'm a Paul supporter, but the bible thumping hypocrits are a major part of the problem here in America. Uneducated douche bags don't help either (South Carolina). I have hope for the young people though.

The question to me is not where does it end, but, rather, what is the best way to guarantee the rights granted by our creator. For the U.S., I think a decentralized federation is the best political guarantee. Let states make the mistakes they will. The outrages in history happen in great centralized states.

Okay... but where does it end? If you ban the Supreme Court from hearing local laws regarding religion then you have to ban it from hearing local laws regarding freedom of speech too right? I mean the wording in the Constitution is the same for both speech and religion (ie "Congress shall write no law...") Was it really the intent of the founders to allow that? What happened to these rights being granted by our Creator?

My understanding is that the Supreme Court was not created to deal with the constitutionality of the States but rather with the Federal government vis-a-vis the constitution. Further, the idea that the unelected, unable-to-be-recalled Supreme Court would establish the law of the land was considered dangerous by the libertarian founders.

Reagan would be considered a big bad "evil Neocon" by Ron Paul and his supporters. While Reagan is one of my favorite presidents lets not forget he oversaw the invasion of Panama, and left office with a huge debt.

7:48 F*** you Frank Luntz
I love where you said that the reason the major conservative media is ignoring Paul is because they HAVE to ignore him in order to save face. That is so true. Why do you think a guy like Limbaugh gives Paul no consideration? Because Limbaugh has been calling himself a "Reagan Conservative" for 20 years! Unfortunately for Limbaugh, he's (d)evolved into a neocon warmonger, so he can never go back without looking like a hypocrite. The media has dug its own grave.

so you know, Regan started the NeoCons
KarateKidX 4 years ago
The Reagan administration was infiltrated by neocons, but Bush Sr. is considered the first neocon President. Irving Kristol, Norman Podhoretz and co. coined the phrase long before Reagan was in office.
The point remains that however imperfectly, Reagan popularized the "small government" message in the American popular mind. Paul is the first Republican presidential contender to pick up the torch.
