I found out I meditated today for 20 minutes before I taught class. Sweet!

I love the yogic forms of meditation. I've always been into the tranquil styles. A really easy "mind stiller" is to mentally say OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM while exhaling through your nose. It's pure bliss. Great vid. Subscribed.

I found this really helpful. I'm sure people who are more experienced with meditation would say there is more to it than just focusing in your breath, but I am just starting out Before this video I wasn't sure exactly what I should be doing so I didn't attempt meditation. Now I know that I can just focus on my breath (at least to begin with) so now I have a starting point and am actually able to practice meditation rather than sit wondering what I am supposed to be thinking about! Thanks Tara
i've tried this in the past sometimes with success. but majorit of time it doesn't work. It sometimes helps to use a new approach. but after a while the novelty always wears off a new approach. i guess my question is, how do I keep the novelty from wearing off a given technique?

ya, that's something you just have to work through. you don't get to trade bodies with someone because the novelty has worn off with yours. Take a look at the need for the new technique, like the need for new things, obsession with new clothes, new house, new hair cut, whatever it is. That's what meditation is for. Getting past the un-necessary desires and getting to the good stuff.

Try to just keep going back to your old technique. Try it every day for a week. Eventually you'll get past the need for something new
