I went for a walk to the old Castle Ruins near my house (Weeting Castle) and behind it there are fields and trees, I believe this crop was either corn or hay or something, but the wind that day was so strong it created an ocean effect across the fields that looked like waves crashing into the shore. I only have a digital camera, not a movie camera, so I am not sure if I captured the effect of how beautiful this was. I was worried no one would want to watch two minutes of blowing grass so I added the words from "Wisdom 7:25-8:1" in honour of the feminine spirit (and Mother Earth) which is one of my favourite quotes.

I called it Ocean Grass because it reminded me of the Ocean.

The video response by Paganmoon13 is my family account and you can see some other scenes from the Castle and Church taken on the same day, but thats my family memories rather than anything artistic :) Enjoy...

  • Thank you! This was in a field near my house, I am blessed to live in a lovely place, did you view the video responses? They are all me too, the paganmoon ones are from the other account :)

  • Wow, this my first time viewing Ocean Grass. The wind blowing across is beautiful and majestic in its power. You captured the wonder, the subdued fury that might be coming behind the wind. wow to be where great plains of grass grow. The Native peoples in the Nations lived in such areas; the southwest before the dams were built held grass lands oh and before overgrazing took its toll. :( Thank you, Lisa for a beautiful and relaxing video. :)

  • If a stick is to be used, it will be either on the entire pontine family, or the Guy in powder blue himself, your work is good lisa, and I guess a lot of folk will relate to it. KEEP IT UP!!

  • Lol thank you! You are going to give me stick about my iggle piggle video! lol... thank you xxx
