@ChrisPaulbasketball3 its also made out of large fans one each side , one side pushing air in to the tunnel and one side sucking the air out e.g. <--- I====I <----

What about the boundary layer on the ground? Ground should be moving as fast as the air flow.

@dangernba we have our bike platform raised off the floor to get it out of the boundary layer and moving ground plane is not necessary for bicycle testing. A moving ground plane or boundary lay control system is needed with cars in proximity to the ground and most important with underbody aerodynamics seen in such cars as F1 and others with diffusers or other underbody enhancements. This is important when looking at downforce and balance front to rear. Drag is importaint in cycling not DF.

The smoke is a very light oil that gets heated to the point of vaporization through a long tube (wand) and comes out as smoke by means of a purpose build smoke generator. A fog machine will not pump enough fog to keep up with the air speed (40mph).
