Honestly, I don't think the cross thing was as big a deal until the churches started making a huge deal out of it. She's been doing that for 20+years and no one cares except them. It's more theatrical than anything and the message is lost on most people.

i love madge, and don't intend to be bitchy with this, but... the Confessions tour audio was edited or remastered or SOMEthing... the vibrato, I think, is live, and in general the vox on that whole performance are way too flawless to be authentic.
