French horn is an ambient sound instrument with the bell turned away from the front of the orchestra. If someone is taping the music, they need to set a mike nearer the horn in order to get any kind of balance with the other instruments whose bells point outward. I hear this over and over even in professional recordings where the horn is silent or nearly so because of bad mike placement.

The tuba needs to sound better on the solo. sry, but the high notes sucked. probably nerves, thats wat i sounded like the first time i had to play that solo.

Oh I know it is, I wasn't complaining. and I meant they weren't good at the solo. We didn't have all that much time to perfect it, so they just let the sax play too.

I'm so happy! I got all the sax solos!! :)

and our school had to turn the Horn solo at...well after the first sax solo into a sax and horn thing, cause our french horns aren't the best. haha. It's so much fun!

We just played this at our HS Chorus concert. Gave the band a reason to stay for 2+ hours before playing Halejulah(did I spell that right?) Chorus with them.
