This movie bio-clip was made by studio publicists with active imaginations. For instance, In April 1898, during the Spanish-American War, Mix enlisted in the U.S. Army under the name Thomas E. (Edwin) Mix but his unit never went overseas or fought in any wars. Historically, he was not with Teddy Roosevelt in the charge up San Juan Hill; nor actually a Texas Ranger ( he was made a “honorary” one because of his celebrity status), or a deputy Marshal, or wounded in these alleged lawmen careers.

To all that have said they are related to Tom Mix... My father's name is Tom Mix and he is his father was his first cousin. Dad is always looking to meet his distant relatives.
