Unfortunately I forgot to make a video with the above mods minus the cams for a before and after. Oh well.

When in Park/Neutral the idle is at 950 RPMs and in gear it drops to 750. I show both in this video. When my brakes are on, I'm in drive showing the 750 RPM sound.

I did the install with help from my uncle who's a certified tech and has been doing car work his whole life. We did the install without the valve spring compressor (by "inching" the cams off and on) even though I bought it just in case. We did not use the timing chain wedge. Instead we rammed a garden hose down there and held the phaser sprocket up with a pole and tie-wraps. ;) It was redneck but it worked well. I also held on the gear/chain while he swapped the cams just to be extra safe the chain would not slip and jump a tooth. That was probably not necessary but I was paranoid. :) In hind-sight, I'd rather have the timing chain wedge instead of the spring compressor.

When I originally bought the cams, I bought them from "camthumpinstang" (who has a youtube and ebay account, although probably not for long) for $600 shipped. But, he scammed me ON PURPOSE and sent stock cams. He would not answer my messages until I filed a case with ebay. Then he only wanted to offer a PARTIAL refund of $400. I rejected of course and ebay wanted me to send him back the cams to give him a second chance at giving me a full refund. He refused to accept the package all three times UPS tried to deliver. So I told ebay and they gave me my refund. Ebay is great. So, avoid "camthumpinstang" (Gary Marine of Ilinois) at all costs! He SOB will scam you and not feel bad about it. It makes it worse being this happened during the Holidays. What he did was fraud and deserves jail time. My mission now is to expose this POS as much as a I can. Scammers are scum and need to be exposed to the world to know. There is never a valid excuse for doing this to some one.
