god, you people. i'm so sick of the whole sheltered, isolated society. i'm SO sick of it. i'm deaf and i do know how to sign, but i think knowing how to talk right is VERY important. get over it. today's technology is getting better, so doctors will have kids to learn talk first then sign. :)

@uhurstupid Did you read others? Everyone loves our video but not you. you are one of few stupid people that made stupid remarks. If you dont like our video, dont watch the video then. We are not isolated society. You must be brain washed by the group that had been obessed with closed society or isolated society theory. We are simply protecting our language. We are blessed what we have. I do pity you.

agrees! Hearing are allowed to learn foreign languages, be it spanish, italian, french etc but when it comes to sign language we DESERVE to be recognized like any other language in the hearing world too.

Greetings, sir. I just finished ASL 101, and I would like you to know, that even though I am hearing, I understand your point completely. I have, in fact, asserted to my professor that I feel that everyone should learn ASL. It's a beautiful and useful language, but most hearing people don't recognize that fact until they give it a try! If you put CC on this, for those that don't know ASL, I will share it on my Facebook wall. Thank you for presenting Veditz' message in fresh new way. :)

@CookieMama90 im in the process of learning too. didnt know there were 3 kinds of SL. i grabbed a CSL book. just getting done with the introduction. should i return the book and get ASL instead? is there that much of a difference?

@pastryvegan I'm in the process of learning ASL. I, too, think that everyone should learn this beautiful language. I understand that many hearing people don't recognize that fact, coming from a close-minded family. Thank you for the video!

@handybit I love this video.. I am hard of hearing and it's been many years since I was able to communicate with someone who's deaf. I understand about 70% and it's interesting ! Thanks for sharing!

I am a hearing person. My language is english.  If my mouth was taped I would feel devastated. I loved this video. Awesome work. Keep up with the Deaf advocacy.

The first time I saw this video, I had not learned any sign language at all and I had no idea about any schools trying to make Deaf children speak. I've learned a little and now I can understand most of being said. Also, my ASL teacher (who is Deaf) has told me about how she grew up in a school where signing is wrong. That's ridiculous.

Awesome video but why is not subtitled? Whoa, I jumped at hearings for their lack of education in deaf awarenes. I begged them to put words on their song, their videos of any kind and much more. I am deaf, please have heart to put words for hearing to understand your plea.. Peace..Teamwork is a best tools.
